History And Invention Of The Drive-In Theater

History And Invention Of The Drive-In Theater, Hello and Welcome to Discover My Inventions I’m Randy Johnson, and in today’s post it’s History And Invention Of The Drive-In Theater, and what a great invention it was, I can remember the old drive-in theater how fun they were, even though here in Eastern Kentucky where I live in from the drive-in the eight are no longer exist now let’s get to some history and the invention of the drive-in theater.

A drive-in theater or drive-in cinema is a form of cinema structure consisting of a large outdoor movie screen, a projection booth, a concession stand and a large parking area for automobiles. Within this enclosed area, customers can view movies from the privacy and comfort of their cars. Some drive-ins have small playgrounds for children and a few picnic tables or benches.

The screen can be as simple as a wall that is painted white, or it can be a steel truss structure with a complex finish. Originally, a movie’s sound was provided by speakers on the screen and later by an individual speaker hung from the window of each car, which would be attached by a wire. This system was superseded by the more economical and less damage-prone method of broadcasting the soundtrack at a low output power on AM or FM radio to be picked up by a car radio.

This method also allows the soundtrack to be picked up in stereo by the audience on an often high-fidelity stereo installed in the car instead of through a simple speaker, that’s one of the features I liked about the old drive-in theater when you would drive into the parking lot they had the speakers to where you can snap them on your window, always thought it was so relaxing to watch a movie on the big screens like that on a beautiful moonlight night.

The big flat screen TVs up today reminds me a lot of the drive-in theater but yet I think the drive-in theater should be wrought back, the technology of the digital TVs that we have out now, I think the drive-in Theater to be brought back in a very popular fashion and I think it’s something that the motion picture companies should take in to consideration, for I really think the drive-in theaters today would go be.

So that’s it for now I’m Randy Johnson Thanks For Stopping By And Being A Great Part Of Discover My Inventions.

History And Invention Of The Automobile

History And Invention Of The Automobile, Hello and Welcome to Discover My Inventions I’m Randy Johnson, and in today’s post it’s History And Invention Of The Automobile The automobile can be divided into a number of eras, based on the prevalent means of propulsion. Later periods were defined by trends in exterior styling, size, and utility preferences.

In 1807 François Isaac de Rivaz designed the first car powered by an internal combustion engine fueled by hydrogen. In 1864 Siegfried Marcus built the first gasoline powered combustion engine, which he placed on a pushcart, building four progressively sophisticated combustion-engine cars over a 10-to-15-year span that influenced later cars.

Marcus created the two-cycle combustion engine[citation needed]. The car’s second incarnation in 1880 introduced a four-cycle, gasoline-powered engine, an ingenious carburetor design and magneto ignition. He created an additional two models further refining his design with steering, a clutch and brakes.

I think it is amazing how much difference that they are in the history of the automobile and the automobile of today with all the computerized equipment that it takes now to even make the engine of the automobile run, and I can remember the older vehicles were much easier to work on than the cars of today where everything has gone to computerized equipment, but being an inventor you just never know where your idea will go.

So that’s it for now I’m Randy Johnson Thanks For Stopping By And Being A Great Part Of Discover My Inventions.

History And Invention Of The Clock

History And Invention Of The Clock, Hello and Welcome to Discover My Inventions I’m Randy Johnson, and in today’s post it’s History And Invention Of The Clock, for thousands of years now devices has been used to measure and keep track of time. The current sexagesimal system of time measurement dates to approximately 2000 BCE from the Sumerians.

In doing some researching I have found some amazing information on a lot of different things, that I’m going to be posting here on Discover my inventions blog, and this morning when I went in there I decided to do a post about the history and invention of the clock, and what I didn’t realize I guess like a lot of other people I’ve never really give it a lot of thought, but clocks and watches never really started being very accurate until the 1930s and 40s.

It’s just like any other invention the more its work with the better gets, and I never forget in the late 1970s when the digital watches first came out, how amazing it was to see how they were, and to see how accurate a time tracking device could be to think at one time all people had was water clocks or the hour glass and today I enjoy looking at the history of the hourglass.

There are clocks of all kinds and one of my favorite is the old grandfather clock, and clocks that chimes on the hour, and I can remember in my school years of the old time cup clock that you had to wind and set daily that set up on our mantle up over the fireplace, how I can still hear that clock tick and that is some really good history, now cup clocks are battery-powered instead of winding you replace the battery that has been the history of timekeeping devices.

So that’s it for now I’m Randy Johnson Thanks For Stopping By And Being A Great Part Of Discover My Inventions.

History And Invention Of The Wheel

History And Invention Of The Wheel, Hello and Welcome to Discover My Inventions I’m Randy Johnson, and in today’s post History And Invention Of The Wheel, the geginning 3500 BC is the year when the wheel was invented, which is more of a ballpark than an exact year. The place is Mesopotamia, the area now occupied by war-ravaged Iraq. The first wheel for transportation purposes is approximated to 3200 BC, its purpose being to move the Mesopotamian chariots.

It is amazing how technology sometimes begins and how it changes as time moves forward, the wheel was invented to move large objects around things that were too heavy to move by hand, laws were often used for rollers for even larger objects, and this is one of the greatest things about coming up with new ideas that can be developed into inventions, like I always say in other blog post never let go of a good dream.

It is very interesting that the development of the wheel, It took another 1,500 years before our ancestors thought of the next step in wheel evolution, the spoke. The need for faster transportation and the idea of using less material stemmed this technological breakthrough. The Egyptians are credited with the first implementation of a spoked wheel on their model year 2000 BC chariots. They narrowed it by carving both sides to shape, but it was the Greeks that first introduced the cross-bar, or H-type, wheel.

And to just think what a relief it must have been creating something that now has many designs and features, as the wheel does, the wheel is used for many different things like a lot of inventions is things are often created to be used for one thing but yet it can be used for a lot of other things, Another major invention that came about the same with the wire tension spoke was the pneumatic tire, which was first patented in 1845 by R.W. Thompson. His idea was further improved in 1888 by John Dunlop, a Scottish veterinarian, who also patented it. Thanks to the smooth ride, Dunlop’s tire replaced the hard rubber used by all bicycles at that time.

So that’s it for now I’m Randy Johnson Thanks For Stopping By And Being A Great Part Of Discover My Inventions.
